Announcing Seminar on Divorce Decisions: What do you want to get out of it, or do you really want out?
San Diego, CA
For Immediate Release
Lowenstein Brown, Divorce Financial Solutions and Survive Divorce & Thrive will present Divorce Decisions: What do you want to get out of it, or do you really want out? The powerful, collaborative event is designed to be an empowering and educational tool for those contemplating or navigating a divorce. Attendees will leave the event with clearer expectations and less confusion about the process and the options.
The event will be Thursday, January 28, 2010 at 6:00 pm at the law offices of Lowenstein Brown, 2650 Camino del Rio North, Suite 308 in San Diego. Michele Lowenstein, one of the seminar presenters, remarked “We are excited to bring this three-pronged informational approach to the community. Divorce issues are a tangle of legal, financial and emotional considerations – but no one professional addresses all three. At this event, experts from the three disciplines will be in one room addressing issues of concern and relevance to those in the community considering, or involved in, divorce.”
Seminar presenters will offer an honest and timely assessment of several aspects of divorce decisions:
· An overview of the legal system including divorce options: Litigation, Mediation, Collaboration
· What to know about custody issues
· How to prepare financially, including how to evaluate living expenses – including children
· The evolution of financial changes and how it affects you
· Tips for setting the tone of your divorce and navigating your emotions
· How to communicate with your children and ex-spouse
Cinda Jones, another presenter, commented, “In a divorce, the law affects money, money affects emotions, and emotions affect how we interact with the law. It’s only natural that these three topics should be discussed together.” Jennifer Horton, the third presenter, added, “Having the right coach for the right task, choosing an expert with your best interests at heart, is vital for your legal, financial and emotional well being.”
Cost is $30 and includes refreshments beginning at 5:45 pm; RSVP is due by 12 noon on January 25, 2010 at www.meetup.com/Divorce-Decisions.
